Friendship Quotient

  Incoming sixth graders will examine the important role that friendship plays in their lives and analyze how will they are developing the qualities of a good friend.

S’More –Scary Gross & Weird Stories from the Bible

       

Behind the bizarre stories in the Bible lurks the truth that helps us know God in greater ways.  Some of the craziest stories in the Bible are also some of the most revealing.  Join us as we learn more about the truths in the bizarre. Hot dogs and S'More will be served.

When:  Wednesday evenings

July 1 and July 8

Movies, like parables, can shock us into new insight.  Caught up in the drama, the romance, the comedy, we are caught unaware, even if we know what the movie is about) as God speaks to us in many ways. The popcorn and soda is on us, but bring your lawn chair.  As always friends are welcome.

WATER FUN NIGHT!

Bring your favorite water gun and wear clothes that dry fast and are modest.  We will have a fun night of water games.    Food, fun & friends welcome!

The Early Church

                       Come and join us as we explore the early underground church. What lengths are you willing to go to in order to share your faith?  We will learn about St. Paul and the early Christians, what they risked and sacrificed to share the Good News.

My Body is a Temple

                       Seventh and Eighth grade youth will reflect on the gift of the human body and how dressing, speaking and acting with modesty can help us to treasure that God given gift.  We will have a break out sessions for girls and for boys.

When:   Wednesday, August 5

Time:     7-9:00 p.m.
