Adult Mentors

We are always in need of and seeking adult leaders committed to the Catholic faith to help with our various ministries. One need not have prior experience or training in working with youth, just openness to sharing the faith and mentoring by good example.

How does one get involved? If you are interested in working call Linda or Lynn in the Youth Ministry Office.

PLEASE CHECK ALL OF THE MINISTRIES YOU ARE INTERESTED IN:

  • Middle School Adult Leaders: Wednesday nights, September - March Youth Group and help lead small groups, be an adult presence and be a witness for the Middle Schoolers.
  • Middle School Retreat Leader: Be available to help with the middle school retreats – summer, fall and winter.
  • High School Adult Leaders: for mini session catechesis. Training is a must but you will come away with a greater appreciation of your Catholic religion and a big plus in sharing your faith with young people. Don’t worry about not “knowing enough” the training will offer everything you will need.
  • High School Retreat Leader: Join the young people on their retreats. This is a great way to get to know the youth of the parish. Some retreats on during the summer, in the evening, overnight, etc.
  • Service Volunteer: Help drive and participate in service projects (Soup Kitchen, Rake Up Pueblo, Operation Paintbrush, parish clean up days).
  • Snack Volunteer: Bring snacks to events for the kids to eat (brownies, pizza, fruit, other snacks).
  • Music Volunteer: Help out with the Youth Music Directors, getting music together, calling youth with reminders, setting up music stands, etc
  • Fun Events Volunteer: Help with one time events like the annual High School Youth Festival held in January of each year, ski trips, Water World, Six Flags
  • Behind the Scenes Volunteer: Help us with the set-up or clean up for events or help with office work (mail outs, calendars, filing).

Job descriptions are available and expectations for the above mentioned volunteer positions. All persons working with children under 18 years of age MUST have a background check.
