Adult Mentors
We are always in need of and seeking adult
leaders committed to the Catholic faith to help with our various ministries.
One need not have prior experience or training in working with youth, just
openness to sharing the faith and mentoring by good example.
How does one get involved? If you are interested in working call Linda or Lynn
in the Youth Ministry Office.
PLEASE CHECK ALL OF THE MINISTRIES YOU
ARE INTERESTED IN:
- Middle
School Adult Leaders:
Wednesday nights, September - March Youth Group and help lead small
groups, be an adult presence and be a witness for the Middle Schoolers.
- Middle
School Retreat Leader: Be
available to help with the middle school retreats – summer, fall and
winter.
- High
School Adult Leaders: for
mini session catechesis. Training
is a must but you will come away with a greater appreciation of your
Catholic religion and a big plus in sharing your faith with young
people. Don’t worry about not
“knowing enough” the training will offer everything you will need.
- High
School Retreat Leader: Join the young people on their
retreats. This is a great way to
get to know the youth of the parish.
Some retreats on during the summer, in the evening, overnight,
etc.
- Service
Volunteer: Help drive and participate
in service projects (Soup Kitchen, Rake Up Pueblo, Operation Paintbrush,
parish clean up days).
- Snack
Volunteer: Bring snacks to events for
the kids to eat (brownies, pizza, fruit, other snacks).
- Music
Volunteer: Help out with the Youth Music Directors,
getting music together, calling youth with reminders, setting up music
stands, etc
- Fun
Events Volunteer:
Help with one time events like the annual High School Youth Festival held
in January of each year, ski trips, Water World, Six Flags
- Behind
the Scenes Volunteer:
Help us with the set-up or clean up for events or help with office work
(mail outs, calendars, filing).
Job descriptions are
available and expectations for the above mentioned volunteer positions. All
persons working with children under 18 years of age MUST have a background
check.
